Drill #1 New Jersey Fish and Wildlife

COURSE OBJECTIVE: To assess the shooter’s ability to accurately fire the shotgun in a multiple threat scenario, vehicle dismount, use of cover, safe movement and handgun transition to be evaluated.

AMMUNITION: Fully loaded pistol, 4 rounds buckshot

COURSE OF FIRE: Shooter seated in vehicle, shotgun in rack loaded with 3 rounds of buckshot. Shooter has one extra round of buckshot. On signal exit the vehicle with shotgun and engage targets T1-T3 from cover “A”. No more than 2 shots from the same point of cover. Reload if necessary, shooter must reload before leaving cover “A” to move to cover “B”. Neutralize targets T4 & T5 from cover “B”. Transition to pistol when needed.

SCORING: _____ seconds or less to pass, penalties missed shot = 2 seconds, poor cover = 10 seconds, fail to follow procedure = 4 seconds
