| Course Description:
The foundation of Objective Based Training is simple, believable, and
easily reproducible teaching methods that are non arguable and show
immediate results. NOTHING is new, technically speaking. A
great deal is new in presentation, demonstration and expected
results. The application of Objective Based Training will allow
Firearms Instructors to reduce training time, rounds expended and
remedial students. The following sequences of listed learning events
are logically sequenced but by no means hard and fast in their
presentation. To move from one step to another the student should
understand why and how the concept works as well as be able to perform
the step when called upon to do so. One step leads to another and
cumulatively to the desired result. Instructor Bio: Rance Deware has over 20 years experience as an educator and instructor. Prior to working at the SIGARMS Academy he was a municipal police officer and retired as a Patrol Sergeant. Rance is internationally recognized as a Use of Force Instructor, teaching firearms, aerosol spray, impact weapon, Instructor Development, Counterterrorism and Interactive Use of Force courses. Student requirements: Duty weapon and support gear. 250 rounds of FRANIGIBLE AMMO, (franigible ammo will be available for sale at the Academy). Proper range attire including a brimmed hat, eye and ear protection, body armor and a positive winning attitude. |
