| This 8 hour course is designed to increase the student’s
skills in teaching officers from their agencies new methods of
approaching and controlling suspicious subjects. Subjects covered will
include proper stop and frisk techniques and unknown risk arrest
techniques. Instructor - Lt. Michael Beckley is a former president of IALEFI® and a founding member of the organization. He recently completed forty years of service with the Nassau County Police Department on Long Island, New York. He currently serves on the N.R.A. Law Enforcement Assistance Committee. Lt. Beckley has been a pioneer in high stress tactical shooting programs and has taught at numerous IALEFI® and N.R.A. programs throughout the country. He is also a graduate of the F.B.I. Academy. Bring: Duty weapon and gear, including handcuffs (an extra pair if possible) 150 rounds of ammunition. |
| This 8 hour course will expose
the students to a new technique of helping problems shooters. The
students will be able to see mistakes made by themselves, fellow
students, and others through active participation and videos. There
will be new equipment available to use and evaluate how to help your
problem shooters. This will be both a classroom and shooting course and
will utilize Simunition rounds. Instructor – Lt. Kenneth Dougherty has been a police officer for over 20 years. He holds a Master Peace Officers Certificate, Firearms Instructor Certificate, and numerous others. Ken is currently the Director of Training and Personnel for the Potter County Sheriff’s Office. Bring: Pen/pencil duty weapon and gear, old clothes for Simunition rounds, groin protection and gloves (if possible) Note: All Simunition gear will be provided. |
